Harry Potter studio tour to open in Shanghai in 2027

A Harry Potter studio tour is planned in Shanghai and will open in 2027.
The announcement was made by Jinjiang International Group in a post on WeChat on Feb. 12, 2025.
The project will be a collaboration with Warner Bros. Discovery.
The tour
According to the post, the tour is also expected to take up 53,000 sqm of space — about five football fields in size — and visitors will need to take half a day to explore the entire attraction.
It will be built within Jinjiang Action Park, an amusement park in Shanghai.
The amusement park stopped its operations for renovations on Jan. 26, 2025, and is expected to reopen in 2027.
Current locations
The tour currently has locations in London and Tokyo.
At the current tours, visitors get to admire and experience replicas of the film sets from the "Harry Potter" and "Fantastic Beasts" films.
This will be the tour's second location in Asia.
China has one Harry Potter attraction: The Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Beijing's Universal Studios.
