FairPrice to give out 75,000 sets of refreshments for Muslim customers to break fast

From Mar. 2 to 30, the FairPrice Group (FPG) will be giving out over 75,000 sets of free snacks and drinks across 59 of its FairPrice outlets for Muslim customers breaking fast.

The refreshment sets will be distributed 30 minutes before and after Buka Puasa, while stock lasts.

It will include drinks, such as milk, an isotonic beverage or water, as well as snacks, such as dates or biscuits.

Volunteers from the group's headquarters will assist with the distribution of the refreshments.

This marks the 17th consecutive year of such an initiative in support of the Muslim community during Ramadan.

"Ramadan is a time for prayer and reflection, and we want to take the opportunity to support our Muslim community during this important period," Vipul Chawla, group CEO of FPG.

"Through this effort, we hope to bring Singaporeans together in the spirit of deepening community bonds, and deliver on our mission of making every day a little better for those we serve.”

Special discounts on Ramadan and Hari Raya essentials

On Mar. 3 and 4, FPG will also be distributing over 1,500 Ramadan care packs to Yayasan Mendaki and M3 beneficiaries.

There will also be two Hari Raya mini bazaars at FairPrice Xtra JEM and FairPrice Woodlands 888.

Special discounts on Ramadan and Hari Raya essentials will run till Apr. 9.
