2 cars catch fire after accident involving 4 cars on PIE towards Changi

Two cars were seen ablaze on the Pan Island Expressway (PIE) towards Changi, on Feb. 27, 2025.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) was alerted to a road accident involving four cars at about 10:15pm on Feb. 27.

The accident took place after the Paya Lebar Road exit.

A video uploaded to the SG Road Vigilante Facebook page shows the scene of carnage.

The accident appears to have occurred on the right-most lane of the expressway.

A yellow ComfortDelGro taxi could also be seen behind the two cars on fire.

A spokesperson for ComfortDelGro said:

"We are aware of the accident that occurred involving our taxi. There were no passengers on board at the time of the incident, and our cabby was uninjured. We will be assisting the Police in their investigations."

SCDF extinguished the fire using a water jet.

There were no reported injuries, SCDF added.
