Paris Baguette Singapore is not Halal-certified yet, but that might be changing soon.

The South Korean multinational bakery chain opened a new regional manufacturing hub in Johor, Malaysia on Feb. 25, 2025.

And, it's going to make Halal-certified goodies, likely coming to Singapore outlets later this year.

The factory is launching in Nusajaya Tech Park, Johor, Malaysia, the Korea Herald reported, and it will be able to churn out up to 100 million bakery products a year.

Berita Harian reported that it will serve six Southeast Asian countries as early as May 2025: Singapore, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, and the Philippines.

Paris Baguette outlets in these countries used to import their bakery products from South Korea (no, not Paris, France, if you were wondering).

The new products produced by the regional factory will be Halal-certified by the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM).

As Hur Young In, the Chairman of SPC Group which owns and operates Paris Baguette put it, the new manufacturing hub will be strategically tapping into the "2 billion consumers in the Halal market, spanning Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and beyond."

The Halal food market is estimated to be valued at US$2.5 trillion (S$3.3 trillion) by the Korea Herald.
