He was left seriously injured following a road accident near Toa Payoh Lorong 2 and Lorong 6 at about 6:40am on Jan. 13.

His burial will take place at Masjid Pusara Aman in Choa Chu Kang on Jan. 18.

Was with TKGS for 45 years

Uncle Dollah joined the school at 19 and retired on Jun. 30, 2017, at 64.

TKGS alumni had said in an Instagram post that he was not a "typical operations support officer".

They said he "brightens your day" and "brings much more joy" into their school lives.

"After a long and mundane day, a simple wave and smile from Uncle Dollah would never fail to send us off with a smile on our faces."

Alumni share their memories

Alumni of the secondary school offered their condolences to the family.

Many former students also shared their favourite memories of Uncle Dollah on Instagram.

"Cik Dollah was iconic for so many reasons, but what stands out most to me is his profound respect for women.

He earned not only the love but also the trust of generations of ladies who walked the halls during his time with us.

He was nurturing, thoughtful, and kind — a truly special soul who touched our hearts in his own unique way.

Rest in peace, Cik Dollah.

Thank you for everything."
