
Popular hawker bakery Butter Town has launched a new vending machine at Woodleigh Village Hawker Centre.

Butter Town is known for its Japanese salted butter rolls, also known as, shio pans.

The "ATM" machine is designed to resemble a vending machine, offering freshly baked shio buns in a temperature-controlled environment.

Customers can purchase the shio pans in sets of two or three pieces, all individually packed in sealed bags.
There are six flavours available, including three seasonal options such as:
- OG (three pieces): S$7.20
- Au Chocolat (three pieces): S$8.40
- Garlic Cheese (three pieces): S$8.40
- Pineapple (two pieces): S$8
- Apple Cinnamon (two pieces): S$8
- Pistachio (two pieces): S$8
The buns are baked in batches daily, with restocks delivered at 12:30pm and 5pm.
During the Chinese New Year period, restocking times will adjust to weekdays at 5pm and weekends at 12pm and 5pm.
As shown in their Instagram post, long queues of customers can be seen lining up to purchase the shio pan.
Butter Town has stated that they have plans to introduce the vending machine concept to new locations in different neighbourhoods.
