S'pore-born jewellery designer Lynn Ban from Netflix's 'Bling Empire' dies aged 51
Her son called her a fighter till the end.

Singapore-born jewellery designer Lynn Ban, who starred in the Netflix show "Bling Empire: New York", has died.
She was 51.
A fighter till the end
Her demise was announced via an Instagram post from Jan. 23.
In the post written by her son Sebastian, he shared that Ban passed away on Monday (Jan. 20).
Calling her a "fighter till the end", he penned:
"She was and always will be my best friend, the best mother to me, and someone who cared for all. She always had a smile on her face even when times were tough during her recovery process.
She was a fighter until the end and is the strongest woman I know. She was the funniest and coolest mum I could ever ask for. She took care of me, my dad, and our Entire family throughout her whole life.
Although she may be gone now, I will do everything I can to make sure she is never forgotten and for her life to be celebrated as it deserves to be."
Skiing accident
In an Instagram post on Dec. 31, 2024, Ban shared that she was rushed to the hospital for an emergency craniotomy.
Ban explained that she had been skiing in Aspen, Colarado with her family when she met with an accident.
After a CT scan, she found out that she was going through a brain bleed and had to be airlifted to a hospital where she had to go through an emergency craniotomy.
Popular jewellery designer
Ban was a jewellery designer from Singapore whose jewellery was featured on the covers of fashion publications.
She has designed jewellery worn by celebrities like Beyonce, Cardi B, Kendrick Lamar and Post Malone.
