110 illegal parking offences found after enforcement operations in Bencoolen, Bugis & Upper Thomson

110 illegal parking offences were found at various locations around Bencoolen, Bugis, and Upper Thomson during enforcement operations earlier this month, the Land Transport Authority (LTA) said in a Facebook post on Jul. 25.

Many of these vehicles were parked illegally on double yellow lines or opposite a continuous white line.

Some were also not parked parallel to the roadside, obstructing traffic.

Vehicles involved in such offences included cars, motorcycles, and commercial vehicles.

LTA urged all motorists to adhere to the prevailing parking rules to ensure the roads remain safe for all pedestrians and road users.

Offenders may face fines or demerit points, or have their vehicles towed.

According to the Urban Redevelopment Authority website, common offences relating to parking lots include being parked other than in a parking lot, parking against traffic flow, parking beyond the boundaries of the parking lot, and parking in a way that causes obstruction.
