Man, 23, crashes motorcycle while fleeing traffic police at Choa Chu Kang Road, flees on foot
The pillion rider was also arrested for fraudulent possession of property.

A 23-year-old man was arrested after failing to stop his motorcycle when signalled by a traffic police officer for a routine check and attempting to flee on foot.
What happened
In response to Mothership's queries, the police said that at around 8:25pm on Jun. 28, a traffic police officer was patrolling along Old Choa Chu Kang Road when he signalled for a motorcycle to stop for a check.
Instead of complying, the rider allegedly sped off, prompting officers to give chase.
During the pursuit, the motorcycle self-skidded along Choa Chu Kang Road towards Bukit Batok road.
The rider then abandoned the motorcycle and fled on foot.
In dashcam footage clip posted on the Facebook group SGRV Admin, a man could be seen grabbing a woman's hand before running from the scene, leaving a motorcycle on the roadside.
A traffic police officer was seen stopping behind the fallen motorcycle.

In a later part of the video, the same man could be seen running across the dual carriageway before climbing over a green roadside barrier, with a traffic police officer in pursuit on foot.

The man was subsequently detained by the officer and conveyed conscious to the hospital.
He was arrested for dangerous driving, driving without a valid driving licence and fraudulent possession of property, and is currently assisting with investigations for failure to stop when ordered by a police officer and driving without insurance coverage.
A 22-year-old woman, who was the pillion rider, was also conveyed conscious to the hospital and subsequently arrested for fraudulent possession of property.
Police investigations are ongoing.
