Japanese man, 66, who strangled son, 11, to death says he had no money & couldn't bear to leave son alone

The 66-year-old Japanese man who allegedly strangled his 11-year-old son to death in Narita City told investigators that he killed his son as he had no money and could not bear to leave his son all alone.
According to TV Asahi, 66-year-old Toshihiko Yoshii was accused of strangling his son, Taisei, to death.
Taisei had been absent from school since May 27, and the school's principal lodged a report on May 29.
When police later arrived at the family's apartment, they found the father and son lying on a futon bed.
Taisei was declared dead, and it was found that he had been dead for several days.
Yoshii has admitted to killing his son.
He also reportedly told investigators that he had no money, was pessimistic about the future and could not bear to leave his son all alone, according to Japanese news outlet TBS News.
Yoshii's wife died around 10 years ago.
Police are investigating the case as a murder-suicide attempt.
