Girl, 19, dies after allegedly falling off Taipei 101 shopping mall

A 19-year-old reportedly died after falling at the Taipei 101 shopping centre in Taiwan on the morning of May 25.

Authorities found the girl had fallen to the second floor of the mall at about 10:49 am (Taiwan time), the Liberty Times reported.

When paramedics arrived at the scene, the girl showed no signs of life.

Although she was rushed to Taipei Medical University Hospital for emergency treatment, she was pronounced dead at around 11am due to her injuries.

Police investigations into her identity and where she fell from are ongoing.

The mall, which spans from basement one to the fifth floor, is located within the Taipei 101 skyscraper.
