A 35-year-old female cyclist who died after an accident involving a tipper truck at Pasir Ris in the late afternoon on May 23, 2026, had planned to watch a G.E.M. concert with her colleague that night.
It was set to take place at the National Stadium, Shin Min Daily News reported.
The deceased, identified as Leng (transliterated), had allegedly been dragged for five to six metres after getting knocked down, according to Shin Min.
Planned to watch concert together
Li (transliterated), Leng's female colleague, told Shin Min that the pair were heading home to freshen up after work before going for the concert.
Li added that Leng, whom she met through work about four years ago, had a cheerful personality.
As Li and Leng stayed near each other, they had been riding home on their bicycles alongside each other when the truck allegedly turned left and knocked Leng down, Shin Min reported.
The truck appeared to have been unable to brake in time, according to Li.
Li added that after the truck hit Leng, it allegedly continued straight for a distance before stopping, Shin Min reported.
