A woman in Malaysia, who has long fed the crows in her neighbourhood, was apparently harassed by the birds after she forgot to feed them.
The story was supposedly recounted by the woman's neighbour in a social media post, according to Sin Chew Daily and Guang Ming Daily.
Aside from feeding them, the woman, who adored crows, also opposed governmental efforts to curb crow overpopulation in the neighbourhood.
However, the turning point came when the woman forgot to feed them in one instance.
The crows apparently turned on her and started striking the windows of her home.
"In the end, she could not stand it either and started getting angry at the crows," the neighbour supposedly wrote.
Apart from striking the windows, the murder of crows also defecated around the woman's home, including on clothes she left out to dry.
Crows are known to be able to recognise appearances.
The species commonly found in Singapore, House crows, can form large communal roosts in areas where the birds choose to sleep.
This can lead to disamenities, such as noise, if the roosts are established near residential areas.
Recently, in Singapore's Chinatown, crows were observed to be specifically attacking bald man.
It was surmised that the crows might have been mistreated by someone bald in the past, which led to the crow attacks on anyone with a similar appearance.
