Family of missing S'pore man with dementia, 67, appeals for info, last seen at Choa Chu Kang

A missing person poster with his photo has also been circulated online to aid in identification.

The family of a 67-year-old man is appealing for information after he went missing on the morning of May 17.

The man, Tan Kai Lai, has dementia.

He was last seen at 230 Chua Chu Kang Central. The family has lodged a police report.

Has dementia, last seen wearing purple shirt

Speaking to Mothership, Tan's daughter said that he was last seen wearing a purple shirt with a white collar, black shorts, and grey slippers.

He was last seen at around 10:13am on May 17.

Tan is most familiar with areas around Choa Chu Kang and Teck Whye, and often frequents both community centres.

Members of the public may approach him if spotted, though he may seem shy or hesitant when speaking to strangers.

They should also let him know that his family and wife are searching for him.

He speaks only Mandarin and Hokkien, according to his daughter.

The family urged anyone who sees him to contact them immediately at 9017 4678.

Anyone with information on Tan's whereabouts can also call the Police Hotline at 1800-255-0000 or submit information online through the Singapore Police Force’s i-Witness portal.
