M'sia man, 29, allegedly slashed girl, 16, in neck & head over unpaid plumbing fees
The accused claimed that the victim had insulted him.

A 29-year-old man allegedly slashed a 16-year-old girl in a dispute over unpaid plumbing repair fees in Penampang, Malaysia.
The incident took place at about 12:30pm on May 7 at the girl’s house in Nosoob, Penampang, The Star reported.
Slashed
According to local police, the victim was at home taking care of her younger nephew while her sister-in-law was at work.
The man went to the house to meet the victim's sister-in-law.
He demanded an outstanding payment for pipe repair work owed by the victim’s sister-in-law.
At the time of the incident, the victim was in the kitchen preparing food with a kitchen knife.
Claimed he was insulted
The accused claimed that the victim insulted him, causing him to get angry.
He allegedly snatched the knife from the victim and slashed her in the head and neck before shoving her into the bathroom wall.
The victim bled profusely and collapsed, Sin Chew Daily reported.
Tested positive for drugs
The accused then fled the scene, but was arrested at about 5:50pm near Jalan Pekan Kinarut Lama in Papar.
He had no identification documents, but tested positive for methamphetamine in a urine test.
Victim in stable condition
The victim was later conveyed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Kota Kinabalu for treatment.
Doctors confirmed that she was in stable condition, but she suffered wounds to her neck and severe slash injuries to the left side of her head.
Both the accused and the victim are foreigners.
Police investigations are ongoing.
