Singapore influencer MangoBossKu, whose real name is Mohammad Hussin Said, was reportedly arrested on May 4 at a Yishun car wash he operates.
This comes after a 56-second video circulated in WhatsApp group chats and on social media showing another online personality and restaurant owner being threatened and ordered to strip, The Straits Times (ST) reported.
The victim was reportedly confronted over claims that he was too close to the wife of the person filming the video.
Hussin is also in the food business, selling food at the Ramadan bazaar in Geylang Serai, as well as owning a BBQ steamboat eatery.
Police report made
Several witnesses told ST that they saw Hussin interviewed by plain-clothes police officers.
Hussin was allegedly arrested after the victim made a police report at Bedok Police Division Headquarters.
While the clip was recorded in November 2025, it only began circulating online recently, prompting the victim to report the matter to the police.
Speaking to ST, Hussin claimed that he did not know about the video and that he had not been arrested, although he did concede to being interviewed by the police.
Police said a report has been lodged and investigations are ongoing.
Lawyers whom ST spoke to said this case poses legal issues.
One said it is an offence to knowingly distribute an image or recording of another person without consent for its distribution.
Threatening to distribute the intimate material may also be regarded as an offence.
