New pedestrian-cycling bridge launching works: CTE slip road to Tuas-bound PIE to close on May 15, 20, 22, 24 & 29 from 12am-5am

The Central Expressway (CTE) city-bound slip road Exit 8A to the Tuas-bound Pan Island Expressway (PIE) will be temporarily closed to traffic from 12am to 5am on May 15, 20, 22, 24, and 29, 2026.
The closure is required to facilitate bridge launching works for the new pedestrian-cycling link across the Pan Island Expressway (PIE).
The bridge will improve connectivity between Potong Pasir and Bendemeer as part of the Bishan-to-City Links project.
Alternative routes
During the road closure, motorists travelling from the city-bound CTE to the Tuas-bound PIE are advised to use CTE Exit 7C towards Moulmein Road to continue their journey via Thomson Road to the PIE.
Motorists travelling from the city-bound CTE to Lorong 6 Toa Payoh are similarly advised to use CTE Exit 7C towards Moulmein Road, to continue their journey via Thomson Road to Changi-bound PIE before connecting to Lorong 6 Toa Payoh.
Barricades and traffic diversion signs will be put up to guide motorists.
Motorists are advised to plan their routes in advance, drive carefully and follow the directional signs displayed.
