CCK stabbing: Man, 22, to be charged for murder for allegedly stabbing woman, 21, to death

The 22-year-old man who allegedly stabbed a woman at Block 248 Choa Chu Kang Avenue 2 on May 26 will be charged for murder on May 28.
The offence of murder carries the death penalty. Police investigations are ongoing.
The incident reportedly occurred on the 12th floor of the block, and the man was alleged to have jumped off the 18th floor after.
In response to media queries, the police confirmed receiving a call for assistance at the location at around 8:55pm on Tuesday.
Upon arrival, officers found a 21-year-old woman lying motionless at the lift lobby on the twelfth floor.
She was subsequently pronounced dead at the scene by a Singapore Civil Defence Force paramedic.
The suspect was arrested and conveyed to the hospital.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the man and woman were known to each other.
Chinese-language daily Lianhe Zaobao reported that the two were believed to be a couple.
