One F&B owner is staying positive to spread the good vibes and upbeat farewell.

Following reports that Smiths Authentic British Fish and Chips shop at Balmoral Plaza will be relocating after 15 years of operations there, the owner encouraged customers to visit the eatery one last time before its last day.

"We are closing this particular unit on May 17, 2026," the store owner said in a recent TikTok, adding that there are only slightly over 30 days until then.

"So don't leave it to the last minute, come and see us before that day," he added.

The relocation comes after it previously opened its first fish and chip shop in Singapore in 2006, its website stated.

Stay positive

Pointing out the current state of affairs "in this world of craziness", he added that "what you need to do is stay positive".

He continued: "My team are positive, I'm positive, and that's what it's all about."

He also said it was about going to work every day with "a bit of passion in your heart".

"Look after your friends, look after your loved ones," he said. "We look forward to seeing you at Smith's in the next coming days, next weekend or the next couple of weeks."

Thanked customers for support

"The team are in happy vibes and I'm a happy boy," he continued, thanking customers for all their support.

An Instagram post had earlier mentioned that Smiths Authentic British Fish and Chips said it would still be taking reservations for its final weeks.
