2 women, 32 & 66, kick & pull hair in fight over seat on relatively empty Shanghai subway, police called in
The two individuals involved were a 32-year-old woman and a 66-year-old woman.
Two women were seen fighting inside a subway train in Shanghai, China, after a dispute over a seat escalated into a physical altercation.
Police have since opened an investigation into the incident.
Argument reportedly started over seat
According to 8world, the incident took place at around 2pm on Apr. 25 inside a carriage on Shanghai Metro Line 1.
The two individuals involved were a 32-year-old woman and a 66-year-old woman.
Initial police investigations found that the pair first argued over a seat before the dispute escalated into a physical fight.
Kicking, pushing and hair-pulling captured on video
Videos circulating online show the argument quickly escalating into a physical fight inside the train carriage.
At one point, the younger woman appeared to kick at the older woman as both grabbed each other’s arms and clothing. The pair were later seen pulling each other’s hair and grappling in the aisle while nearby passengers looked on.
As the scuffle intensified, several passengers stood up and attempted to separate them.
Personal belongings, including a handbag and small items, were also seen scattered on the train floor during the altercation.

Police opened administrative case
Witnesses said the carriage became chaotic during the incident before subway staff stepped in and reported the matter to authorities, according to 8world.
Police later confirmed they had opened an administrative case and would handle the matter in accordance with the law.
They also reminded commuters to remain calm while travelling on public transport and avoid escalating disputes over minor issues.
