Certificate of Entitlement (COE) premiums for all categories went up on Apr. 8, 2026.

The premium gap between Category A and Category B has narrowed to S$3,000.

It was S$3,678 previously in the last bidding exercise on Mar. 18.

Cat A

Premiums for Category A vehicles or smaller, less powerful cars up to 1,600cc and 130bhp, as well as for EVs with up to 110 kilowatts of power, rose to S$118,000.

This was a 5.5 per cent increase, or S$6,110 from the S$111,890 recorded at the last bidding exercise.

Cat B

The premium for Category B, for bigger, more powerful cars above 1,600cc or 130bhp, as well as EVs with more than 110 kilowatts of power, went up to S$121,000.

This was a 4.7 per cent increase, or S$5,432 more than the S$115,568 premium set at the last round.

This type of COE is needed to register larger and more powerful cars and electric vehicles (EVs).

Open Category

The premium for the open category COE price increased to S$121,001, which is S$2,882, or 2.4 per cent, more than the previous premium of S$118,119.

Open category certificates can be used to register any vehicle type, excluding motorcycles, but they are almost exclusively used for larger, more powerful cars.

The motorcycle COE premium rose to S$10,000, up S$411 or 4.3 per cent from the previous premium of S$S$9,589.

The commercial vehicle (Category C) premium rose to S$80,001, an increase of S$2,001 or 2.6 per cent from the previous premium of S$78,000.
