'This is our life': M'sian father, mother, & son all arrested for drug use
A family of three in Malaysia was arrested by the country's National Anti-Drug Agency for drug use, with the parents using their home as a drug den.
Their son reportedly admitted that he did not use drugs with his parents but did use them with his friends, according to Sin Chew Daily.
Parents' impact on children
The National Anti-Drug Agency (NADA) Kuala Lumpur branch recently arrested a couple and their son in an operation, revealing their tragic drug addiction.
It is reported that the parents not only used drugs themselves, but also took drugs at their home. Their son admitted that he had personally witnessed his parents using drugs in front of him.
"I didn't use it with them, but when I went out and hung out with my friends, I also used methamphetamine."
"My parents probably don't care about my future at all, so I can only walk my own path. I'm in charge of my own life, and I can do whatever I want."
He also admitted that he eventually became addicted to drugs.
"And what happened? Our whole family was detained. There's nothing left to hide; this is our life."
NADA says they hope to use this real-life case to remind the public, especially parents, to set a good example and not turn their homes into breeding grounds for drugs.
