Christy Chung, 55, defends husband, 43, from backlash after he says he still wants to have a child with her

Christy Chung's husband, Shawn Zhang, recently said in a TV show interview that he has not given up the idea of having his own child with Chung, despite their ages.

According to media reports, Zhang said technology has to catch up, or they could still adopt if that wasn't possible.

This led to backlash from netizens who felt he was not taking into consideration his wife's age and the physical strain it would put on her.

Chung however, came out to defend Zhang, saying people had misunderstood his words.

She also said this incident had led to their family becoming closer.

Chung herself had alluded to the possibility of a child with Zhang as recently as in 2025.

She has three daughters from her previous two marriages.
