2 girls reported missing spotted in Pasir Ris Park, 3 boys who noticed them remained at scene until police arrived

Two girls, aged 13 and 14, who were reported missing on Apr. 28, were spotted in Pasir Ris Park at around 12am on Apr. 29.

The girls were spotted by three boys, who were hanging out at the park.

The youths who found the girls then shared about their encounter in a TikTok.

The Singapore police had appealed for information on the whereabouts of the two girls on Apr. 28, at around 1:40am.

What video showed

The boys were equipped with a torchlight and were seen and heard walking stealthily in the park.

The video showed that the boys were aware that the police had put out an appeal for information on the whereabouts of the two girls, as they referenced a Mothership article in the TikTok.

"We calling police now bro," one of the youths whispered to the camera as the trio walked around stealthily to avoid startling the girls.

"The two missing girls. They are right there," he continued.

One of the girls was wearing a white top, while the other was wearing a black top.

The TikTok also showed the boys remaining at the scene until the police showed up in a police vehicle.

Framing the police presence in the park as the backdrop, one of the youths said: "Mission accomplished, yeah."

Brother of older girl confirms authenticity of video

Mothership located the brother of the older girl who was reported missing.

He confirmed the authenticity of the video's claims and said his sister and her younger friend had ran away due to personal issues.

Reactions to TikTok

Reactions to the boys' TikTok was positive.

Many praised the trio for their situational awareness and public spiritedness, as well as for taking the initiative to alert the authorities quickly.

Some asked if the boys were hanging out at the park and chanced upon the missing girls, or that they were out searching for them.
