Thousands of users report issues with Singtel, Gomo: Downdetector

Thousands of Singtel customers reported service outages on the morning of Mar. 16, according to Downdetector.

Over 5,800 reports were made as of 10:59am.

The issue appears to be ongoing, with users complaining of mobile service outages across the island.

Users of Gomo — which uses Singtel's 5G network — similarly complained of the same issue.

In a Facebook post at 11:12am, Singtel said it is aware of the issue and is investigating the problem.

"To restore the service, please turn off the device and turn it back on again.

We apologise for the inconvenience caused. Thank you for your patience."

Gomo put out a similar post at 11:36am, with similar advice.

However, some users said the workaround did not work for them.

Both Singtel and Gomo said they would provide updates once available.
