M'sia student, 17, dies after sickle carried by passing motorcyclist accidentally strikes neck
He was later confirmed dead at the scene.

A 17-year-old vocational college student in Perak, Malaysia, died after his neck was accidentally struck by a long-handled sickle carried by a passing motorcyclist.
The incident occurred at Batu 4, Kampung Selabak in Teluk Intan, where the victim was travelling on a motorcycle with a friend.
The teenager, identified as Adham Faisal, died at the scene after sustaining severe injuries to his neck.
Man carrying sickle
According to the Hilir Perak district police chief, preliminary investigations found that the injury occurred when the sickle being carried by a man on another motorcycle came into contact with the victim.
“At the time of the incident, the victim’s motorcycle and the motorcycle ridden by the man carrying the sickle were travelling close to each other on the road,” he said in a statement, as reported by the Malay Mail.
The sickle, commonly used for harvesting oil palm, reportedly struck the teenager’s neck, causing him to fall onto the road.
He was later confirmed dead at the scene due to the severity of his injuries.
Two foreign men arrested
Following the incident, police arrested two foreign men aged 39 and 52 to assist with investigations.
Authorities also seized several items believed to be linked to the case, including the long-handled sickle and a motorcycle, according to Harian Metro.
The suspects were brought to the Teluk Intan Magistrate's Court for a remand application to facilitate further investigations.
Friend injured but survived
At the time of the incident, Adham was riding with a friend.
The 18-year-old passenger sustained injuries to his hand and is currently receiving medical treatment, reported the Malay Mail.
Adham was reported to be a student at a vocational college in Teluk Intan, where he was pursuing agricultural studies.
Police are investigating the case under Section 304A of the Penal Code, which relates to causing death through negligence.
