Speaking to Mothership, the driver said the incident happened at about 6:30am on Mar. 16.
When the passenger got in, the driver said the smell from the vape was "too strong", forcing him to wind down his windows.
Dashcam footage shown to Mothership shows the man walking unsteadily towards the car.
Without speaking to or interacting with the passenger, the driver drove straight to a police station.
When he arrived, the passenger allegedly kept apologising and tried to escape, but the driver managed to hold on to him.
