Cotton On has no plans to exit Asia market, multiple S'pore outlets hiring

Cotton On Group has no plans to exit the Asia market.
A spokesperson was responding to queries about the closure and liquidation of Cotton On Asia, as announced in a Mar. 30 Government Gazette notice.
"Inactive" holding company
The spokesperson clarified that Cotton On Asia, the liquidated entity, is an "inactive holding company that was no longer required".
It does not and has never operated any stores, or employed any team members, the spokesperson said.
The spokesperson added that the entity's closure will have no impact on customers, teams, stores, or operations in Asia.
Different entities
According to the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA) Singapore website, there are two entities registered with the "Cotton On" name.
The first, Cotton On Asia, is in liquidation.
This was listed as a holding company.
The second, Cotton On Singapore, a retail entity that sells adult clothing.
It remains active.
Stores still open
Stores remained open when Mothership visited on the evening of Mar. 30.

Checks by Mothership revealed that multiple stores in Singapore have posted hiring notices online, including outlets at ION Orchard, City Square Mall, Anchorpoint, Suntec City, Bugis Junction, JEM, and Lot One.
The VivoCity outlet also had a hiring sign up.
