Some items on the back of a lorry caught fire along West Coast Drive on Feb. 10, drawing the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) to the scene.

In response to Mothership's queries, the SCDF said it was alerted to the fire at about 7:30pm that day, and extinguished it with a water jet and a hose reel.

They assessed a person for minor injuries, and the person declined to be sent to the hospital.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Aftermath

In videos uploaded on TikTok after the incident, the rear of the lorry appeared to be broken down, with a mass of items piled up and scattered on the ground.

The front of the lorry was still rather intact.

At least eight SCDF officers could be seen at the scene, which looks to be right in front of a condominium entrance.

An officer can be seen organising the fallen items, while two others were handling the hose reel.
