NTUC to offer up to 50% subscription subsidy for selected AI tools

NTUC will provide its members with up to 50 per cent subsidies for the subscription costs of eligible AI tools.

This new initiative was announced at the launch of the AI-Ready SG Initiative on Feb. 13.

The subsidy is part of key efforts to enable workers to learn and apply AI skills in their daily work, therefore strengthening their long-term employability.

The "first-of-its-kind" subsidy will provide members with access to AI tools that enhance productivity and support tasks like content creation and writing.

The funding support will be piloted for two years.

AI training pathways

AI training pathways will also be made available to all workers.

The aim of the pathways is to provide workers with a clear direction build their AI-related skills.

Developed by NTUC LearningHub, the pathways will be tailored to workers' skills, levels, jobs, and sectors.

It will also be based on skills gaps identified through on-the-ground engagement with employers, industry partners and business leaders.

NTUC will also make use of the LearningHub Career Mentorship Programme to connect PMEs (Professionals, Managers, Executives) to certified mentors who will provide guidance through an AI‐enabled match‐scoring system, that pairs

mentees with mentors aligned to their career goals.

This aims to help workers navigate career transitions and stay adaptable in the job market.
