156 FairPrice stores to stay open on 1st day of CNY

FairPrice will be extending opening hours across its stores this Chinese New Year season.
Six FairPrice Xtra outlets open until 2am each day from Feb. 12 to 15:
- Hougang One
- JEM
- Kallang Wave Mall
- Changi Business Park
- Parkway Parade
- VivoCity
On Feb. 16, Chinese New Year eve, 36 FairPrice stores will operate for 24 hours, and all other outlets will be open until 5pm.
On the first day of Chinese New Year (Feb. 17), 156 of FairPrice's 168 stores will remain open.
Among them, 42 will operate 24 hours, while 113 will stay open until 5pm.
From the second day of Chinese New Year (Feb. 18), all 168 stores will resume normal operating hours.

Price freeze
From Jan. 29, FairPrice Group has implemented a price freeze on all its chilled pork products, as well as popular seafood and vegetable items such as red grouper, fresh white prawn and nai bai (bok choy).
The price freeze applies to all 168 of its supermarkets until Mar. 3. During this period, there will also be promotions on select fresh vegetables.
