Swee Choon Jalan Besar outlet to open 7 days a week from Jan. 12, 1st time in 64 years
The outlet used to remain closed on Tuesdays.

Swee Choon Tim Sum Restaurant's flagship outlet at Jalan Besar will open seven days a week from Jan. 12, 2026.
The outlet has been closed on Tuesdays for 64 years, since 1962, according to a press release issued by the restaurant chain on Jan. 7.
Following the change, the outlet's operating hours will be 7am to 2am on Sundays to Thursdays, and 7am to 4am on Fridays, Saturdays, and the eves of public holidays.
CNY opening hours
Those craving Swee Choon's dim sum during Chinese New Year (CNY) 2026 can patronise its outlet at Changi Airport Terminal 2, which will remain open throughout CNY.
The Jalan Besar outlet will be closed from Feb. 16, the eve of CNY, to Feb. 18 and will reopen on Feb. 19.
