Open Farm Community at Dempsey to close after 11 years, last day of operations on Jan. 11, 2026

Open Farm Community, located at Dempsey, will be closing on Jan. 11.

It announced the closure on Instagram and Facebook on Jan. 6.

No reasons given for the closure

"Since opening in Dempsey in 2015, Open Farm Community was created with the vision of creating a farm-to-table dining experience rooted in​ sustainability and seasonality," the post read, adding that the restaurant aimed to spotlight local growers and celebrate seasonal harvests.

The restaurant expressed their gratitude to all their customers, and stated that their last day of operations will be on Sunday.

"We are incredibly thankful to everyone who has dined with us, celebrated with us, and been part of this journey."

The reason for the closure was not stated.

Many netizens took to the comments to express their gratitude and sadness regarding the closure.

Two users also thanked Open Farm Community for being their wedding venue.

Open Farm Community's space also hosted farm tours for visitors, as well as corporate events and weddings.

According to their website, the restaurant was founded by Cynthia Chua, the founder of Spa Esprit Group.

The group operates other food and beverage (F&B) concepts such as Tiong Bahru Bakery and Common Man Coffee Roasters.
