These couples had quite the start to the new year.
Xie Ailing (transliteration) and her husband Li Kexiang (transliteration) welcomed their baby at the stroke of midnight on Jan. 1, 2026, to become the first baby at KK Women's and Children's Hospital (KKH), and Singapore, in the new year.
According to 8World, they were actually supposed to welcome their new baby a few days ago, but the doctor had warned them that the baby might arrive a bit later due to it being their first child.

Another 2026 KKH baby was born to Nur Faizah and her husband, Muhammad Hadi.
This is their seventh child, and the mother jokingly told Shin Min Daily News that she is tired and does not want any more children.
Their family consists of four girls and two boys, ranging from age four to 16.
This would be their third boy.
