7 Chinese women arrested in Johor for allegedly offering sexual services via WeChat & Telegram
They had "misused their social visit passes to engage in immoral activities".
Seven foreign women have been detained in Johor following a coordinated operation targeting alleged immoral activities at several apartments.
According to Malaysian news outlet The Star, the operation was carried out simultaneously at multiple locations across Johor at 9pm on Dec. 30, 2025.
Johor Immigration director Mohd Rusdi Mohd Darus said the raids were conducted after receiving complaints from the public and following intelligence surveillance.

Offered their services via social media platforms
In a statement on Dec. 31, 2025, it was revealed that all seven detainees were Chinese nationals aged between 25 and 41-years-old.
They had "misused their social visit passes to engage in immoral activities", said Rusdi.
He added that the women are believed to have offered sexual services through social media platforms such as WeChat and Telegram, with fees ranging from RM230 (around S$73) to RM400 (around S$127), paid in cash.

"We also issued six summonses to witnesses to assist with the investigation," he said.
The women are being investigated under Malaysia's Immigration Act 1959/63 and the Immigration Regulations 1963, and are currently placed at the Setia Tropika Immigration Depot.
