The police have arrested a 43-year-old woman for her suspected involvement in the case of graffiti at the Salvation Army church at Upper Bukit Timah Road.

In response to Mothership's queries, the police said they received a call for assistance regarding graffiti found at the church at about 9:15am on Dec. 25.

Upon the officers' arrival, offensive words were found scribbled with red spray paint on the premises and on properties belonging to the Praisehaven church.

They included the building's walls and three vans.

Photos shared by Mothership's readers show graffiti on the exterior walls, a common lobby inside the building, and vans parked outside.

By 12:25pm, large red cloths had been placed over the graffiti to cover the words.

The woman was arrested within five hours of the report, the police said.

Police investigations are ongoing.

The police added that they take a very serious view of acts that threaten Singapore’s racial and religious harmony, and will firmly deal with offenders in accordance with the law.
