Taiwan-based Macanese feng shui master Chan Wei-Chung apparently got into trouble while working in Singapore.

Did livestreams in Singapore

According to Yahoo News, the 61-year-old recounted the incident that got him into trouble on a recent episode of Show Luo's variety show Zhong Yi OK La.

He shared that during a difficult period in his career, he was introduced to opportunities in Singapore by his friend, Taiwanese celebrity Xiao Zhong, who was also a guest on the show.

Chan shared that Singapore audiences were particularly receptive to fortune-telling content, 8days reported.

"I did nine live streams, and from the very start I made over one million NT dollars (around S$40,933),” he shared. “Over the course of the year, I conducted feng shui consultations for hundreds of households.”

Allegedly arrested for disrupting public order

However, his run of success came to a halt after a live-streaming session gone wrong.

“Xiao Zhong told me we had to be lively when live streaming in a shopping mall, so I was shouting and jumping around,” Chan recalled.

He was later arrested for disrupting public order, 8days reported.

Chan attributed it to his unfamiliarity with local regulations.

Xiao Zhong, recounting the incident with amusement, said he remained behind and continued the live stream. “Viewers loved watching him being taken away,” he said, adding that more than 10,000 people were tuned in at the moment Chan was arrested.
