The 74-year-old man who went missing for over 30 hours has been found dead by the police.

Chan Tuck Chew, who suffers from dementia and Parkinsons, went missing on Dec. 21.

He was last seen at about 3-4 am wearing a grey and white checkered polo tee.

Responding to queries from Mothership, a Singapore Police Force (SPF) spokesperson shared that at about 11:40 am on Dec. 23, the police were following up on a case when officers spotted a 74-year-old man lying motionless in the vicinity of Pang Sua Park.

The man was subsequently pronounced dead at the scene.

Mothership understands that this was Chan.

Speaking to Mothership, Chan's family shared that they learned about his passing after Chan's wife went to the park to search for him.

There, she saw the police cordon.

The family then asked the police, who confirmed with them that the man was Chan.

The family expressed gratitude to everyone who helped.

Based on preliminary investigations, the police do not suspect foul play.

Police investigations are ongoing.
