Mayday's Ashin falls off Shanghai concert stage, continues with cuts on back of hand
He received medical attention after the show and was fine.
Mayday frontman Ashin took a hard fall off the stage after missing a step while performing in Shanghai, China on Dec. 22.
The consummate professional subsequently continued the show with cuts on the back of his hand, and played it off with humour when asked about what happened.
He was sharing the stage with three members of the Taiwanese boy group, F4.
The show was for their reunion concert.
Missed a step
In clips of the incident shared on Weibo, the singer could be seen belting a hit on a platform before he stepped off and moved to another part of the stage.
Moments later, he walked forward while looking ahead of him.
He appeared not to notice that he was approaching a flight of stairs that led off the stage.
He continued walking forward, missed a step and tumbled off the stage after losing his footing.
On the way down, his back slammed against a part of the stage, the force of which threw his head backwards.

All fine
Following the incident, Ashin's management company shared in a statement that the frontman received medical attention post-show and was fine, Mirror Media reported.
On Facebook, the lead singer reminisced the heydays and reflected on his participation in the F4 reunion concert.
He wrote that he had performed 22 shows in the past month or so, but wanted to be there at the F4 shows to avoid disappointing fans if he was absent.
The fourth member of F4, Ken Chu, was absent from the reunion.
In a comment under the post, Ashin alluded to his on-stage remarks after the fall and wrote, "My memory is intact, and so are yours."
