Several Singapore Airlines flights were among at least 400 international and domestic flights to and from New York major airports to have been cancelled due to a snowstorm in the U.S. city, which has also delayed other flights.

New York’s LaGuardia and John F. Kennedy airports, as well as nearby Newark, were among the hardest hit, according to Bloomberg.

SIA flights that have been cancelled include:

SQ23 departing New York (John F. Kennedy) for Singapore on Dec 26 at 10:05pm

SQ24 departing Singapore for New York (John F. Kennedy) on Dec 26 at 12:10pm

SQ25 departing New York (John F. Kennedy) for Frankfurt on Dec 26 at 8:15pm

SQ26 departing Frankfurt for New York (John F. Kennedy) on Dec 26 at 8:35am

SQ21 departing New York (Newark) for Singapore on Dec 27 at 5:45pm

SQ22 departing Singapore for New York (Newark) on Dec 27 at 5:30am

All times shown are local.

Singapore is 13 hours ahead of New York in December 2025.

SIA said in a Dec. 25 advisory that the situation in New York was fluid and its other flights may also be affected.

The national carrier added that all affected customers would be contacted about the flight cancellations.

Arrangements for alternative flights will be made for those affected or full refunds of the unused portion of their ticket can be sought.

Heavy snow

Heavy snow is expected to start falling in New York City and across Long Island from the afternoon of Dec. 26 to 27.

As much as 20cm of snow is expected.

As cold temperatures limit the melting of snow, New York City has issued a travel advisory about the risk of slippery and hazardous road conditions for the duration of the storm.
