Singaporean director Jack Neo will reprise his role as the classic comedic character, Liang Po Po in a new movie that will hit the screens during Chinese New Year in 2026.
Neo announced his latest big screen effort, "Liang Po Po: The Comeback", in a Facebook post on Dec. 4.
He wrote that the movie had been kept a secret for a while so that it would be a surprise.
"Old friends, old fans, after 24 years, we're meeting again," Neo wrote.
The director also shared in the comments section that a teaser for the movie will be released on Dec. 4.
The character was previously featured in a 1999 movie, "Liang Po Po: The Movie".
It became a household name during Channel 8's 1990s comedy sketch show, "Comedy Night", which also starred Mark Lee and Henry Thia.
