S'porean man, 71, allegedly molested girl, then 12, in church

A Singaporean man, 71, was handed three molestation charges on Dec. 9, 2025 for allegedly molesting a girl in church.

He allegedly committed the offences between Apr. 16, 2015 and Apr. 15, 2016.

Due to a gag order, the man cannot be named in order to protect the victim's identity.

The victim was 12 years old at the time, and is now 22, according to charge sheets viewed by Mothership.

The man, then 61, allegedly fondled the pre-teen's chest and private parts on at least three occasions.

The name of the church was redacted. Charge sheets did not disclose the relations between the victim and perpetrator.

It was also not explained why it took a decade for the man to be charged with the offences.

He will return to court on Dec. 30.
