A 32-year-old man in Malaysia tragically lost his life on Dec. 2 after trying to retrieve a pickleball while on a third-floor court of a Pudu building.
Online CCTV footage showed players trying to reach a ball beyond a set of barriers.
While another player lifts the skirting, the man in black jumps the barrier to retrieve the ball.
According to Malaysian media, the case has been classified as sudden death.
The pickleball club posted an Instagram story expressing their condolences and urged the public to refrain from speculation.
According to The Rakyat Post, a circulating message insists that there were no broken railings or holes on the floor.
However, some comments questioned why more safety barriers had not been implemented.
This was the netting at the club, according to China Press.
