Melissa Wix was the third runner-up for the Miss Heritage International 2025 competition, which held its grand finals in Bangkok, Thailand, on Nov. 8.
Many Facebook users congratulated her on a post she put up later on the same day. However, she also received several comments criticising her.
In a Facebook post on Nov. 15, Wix highlighted one such comment, "3rd runner up congratulations for f**k".
She added that such comments gave her motivation to keep trying to win first place in an international pageant, as no Singaporean had ever done so before.
Her post also included a screenshot of her full conversation with Chen, in which both sides doubled down on their positions.
