The runner was eventually conveyed to hospital.
A runner collapsed at the Standard Chartered Half Marathon, which was held on Dec. 6, 2025.
Occurred at the 15km mark of the marathon
According to a Mothership reader, he had seen the collapsed runner at about 6:40am at the 15km mark of the marathon located near Bay East Garden.
The Standard Chartered Half Marathon is 21.1km long.
A photo he shared with Mothership showed a few other runners helping him and administering first aid.
He added that this included CPR.
Another reader who reached out to Mothership also shared that he had seen an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) being delivered to the runner in question from 6:30am to 6:45am.
The second reader also said that this part of the run was "very cramped" as the left side of the race track had been barricaded due to ongoing construction.
The first reader added that he eventually saw the runner being evacuated by a buggy to an ambulance.
In response to Mothership's queries, a spokesperson for the Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon said they were aware of a runner who required medical attention during the course.
The runner was then transported to a hospital.
The spokesperson added:
"The runner is now recovering in hospital and we thank the first responders for their quick action and medical support provided."
