M'sian couple leaves daughter, 5, in car to buy breakfast, thief steals car with her inside

A Malaysian couple, along with their five-year-old daughter, had driven to get some breakfast in Petaling Jaya.

When they reached the breakfast spot, the couple went out to buy breakfast, leaving their child in the car for a while.

When they returned, both the car and their daughter were missing.

They immediately called the police at 7:24am.

The Petaling Jaya District police chief, in a statement, said the police then embarked on a three-hour search.

Thankfully, with the help from the public they found the car at an estate after three hours.

The girl was inside and quickly returned to her parents.

The police chief also advised parents not to leave their children in unsafe spaces or in a running car.

Investigations are ongoing.
