Singaporean Lions City Sailors (LCS) and Arsenal superfan, Jasper Tan, has passed away.

According to the Official Arsenal Singapore Supporters Club on Facebook,  the 34-year-old was part of the community for over a decade.

Tan was a familiar face at match screenings and events, where he consistently showed his unwavering support for the famed football club.

Tan’s dedication went well beyond cheering from home.

He was among the few fans to travel to Amman, Jordan, to support the LCS Women's Team during the 2024/25 AFC Women’s Champions League Preliminary Stage.

In light of his passing, there will be a minute of silence before the match between LCS and Balestier Khalsa on Dec. 14, the fanclub wrote.

Other tributes

Beyond football, Tan was also an active member of several fan communities in the local entertainment scene, many of which have paid tribute to him.

Notable names include "Emerald Hill" star Chantalle Ng, Mediacorp actress Tay Ying, and 987FM DJ Germaine Tan.

Ng described Tan as a “familiar face” she always looked out for at events, recalling how he would be holding her name board and a photo for her to sign.

"It feels unreal to know we won't see Jasper in the crowd anymore, but the warmth and support he showed lives on in all of us. For everything, Jasper. Fly high and rest well," the actress wrote.
