The Johor Road Transport Department (JPJ) posted on Facebook and TikTok on Nov. 6 that its officers stopped the vehicle at Bangunan Sultan Iskandar CIQ Complex as part of the vehicle entry permit (VEP) enforcement operations.

Photos put up by JPJ showed two passengers in the multi-purpose vehicle (MPV).

The JPJ is a transport authority.

Initial checks found that the vehicle did not have the requisite operator licence to carry out cross-border services.

Previously, a similar incident occurred on Oct. 23.

JPJ said at the time that the Singapore-registered vehicle was found to have been ferrying three female passengers, who are Malaysian citizens.
