Malaysian rapper Namewee, 42, who turned himself in to the authorities in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in the early hours of Nov. 5, was reportedly accompanied by his long-time girlfriend of 15 years.

His partner, Sarah was photographed standing by his side as he entered the Dang Wangi district police headquarters, according to images from China Press.

The Malaysia Chinese media outlet reported that Sarah also serves as Namewee's stylist and makeup artist and often accompanies him to Taiwan for work.

The rapper, who turned up at the police station with his peers in two cars, was accompanied by his lawyer.

Kept partner low-profile

Namewee reportedly has kept his relationship with his non-celebrity partner low-key.

He does this by using stickers to obscure her face whenever he shares photos of his colleagues on social media.

He apparently keeps her out of the spotlight out of respect for her privacy.

The couple reportedly have a stable relationship, with rumours that they plan to settle down in Taiwan in the future.

Namewee, whose real name is Wee Meng Chee, has admitted that he might come off looking like a womaniser, but he is in reality very loyal when in a relationship.

It was also reported that he would introduce female artistes to his partner whenever he has such collaborations.

Namewee will be remanded until Nov. 10.
