An Indonesian woman is suspected of using a pen knife to cut off her lover's genitals after they had sex.

She was said to be in a jealous rage after he had affairs with multiple women and bought his wife a new motorcycle.

According to the Indonesian National Police, the man died weeks later on Aug. 12, 2025.

Jealousy

Prior to his death, the 32-year-old man was attacked by his mistress on Jul. 20 in West Jakarta.

Sin Chew Daily reported that this was an act of revenge due to jealousy.

Together but not married

The 28-year-old mistress, Windi Sintia, was also upset with her lover for sleeping with her several times but not marrying her.

Her lover, Karsilan Utami, began dating her in early 2019 but Utami later married another woman in late 2019, according to Liputan6.

Windi was said to have been aware of this.

Promised support

Liputan6 reported that though Karsilan was married, he supposedly maintained a husband-wife relationship with Sintia and agreed to provide for her.

Karsilan reportedly gave her 200,000 rupiahs (S$15.60) every week.

However, he later stopped giving her money.

Windi was also jealous when she saw his wife's social media posts about how Karsilan had bought her a motorcycle and given her money.

Attacked then died

According to Liputan6, Windi was already angry because Karsilan allegedly had affairs with multiple women.

Before the attack, Windi texted Karsilan to meet her at a field.

In her message, Windi said "OTW", an acronym that typically means "on the way".

However, Tribunnews reported that Windi and the victim have been using it as a secret code to partake in sex.

After having sex, Windi then took out a pen knife and slashed Karsilan's genitals.

He was seriously injured in the attack and died weeks later on Aug. 12.

Charges

Liputan6 reported that Windi was detained at the Bandar Lampung Police Headquarters.

She has been charged under Article 354 of the Criminal Code for aggravated assault, according to the police.

If convicted, she is liable to a maximum of nine years' jail.
